Gretna Green is famous for its runaway love stories. Back in the day, couples from England and Wales would quite literally bolt over the border to get married here because Scotland’s laws were far more relaxed. Romantic, slightly rebellious… and very Scottish. This gorgeous hotel is actually owned by great friends of ours the Houston's so I've stayed here a number of times of various events. It's incredible.
