Auchrannie Resort

Directions

Tucked just above Brodick Bay, Auchrannie is one of those places that makes Arran feel easy.

I’ve stayed here before - once for a while through a friend’s timeshare - and it’s the kind of base that quietly does everything well. You’ve got mountain views in one direction, the sea in the other, and everything you need on site after a full day exploring. More info.

It’s not just a hotel - it’s more of a small, self-contained retreat. Spa, pools, good food, relaxed bars, and enough space to properly switch off. After a day hiking Goatfell, coastal wandering, or chasing sunsets along the String Road, coming back here feels like landing somewhere warm and thought-through.

For an Arran itinerary, it works beautifully as a base:

  • Central for exploring the island

  • Walking distance into Brodick

  • Easy access from the ferry

  • Comfortable enough that a “rest day” actually feels like a treat

If Arran is Scotland in miniature, Auchrannie is a very solid place to experience it from.

High-end
