This is a great and pretty way to get between the Grass Market and the Castle.

The Vennel Steps are a charming set of stairs that lead up to Edinburgh Castle, offering a unique and picturesque route for visitors. Nestled in the heart of the city, these steps provide a delightful blend of history and stunning views. As you ascend, you can catch glimpses of the castle's impressive architecture and the surrounding landscape. It’s a favorite spot for both tourists and locals, often bustling with people snapping photos or simply enjoying the atmosphere. The steps have a bit of a rustic feel, lined with old stone and surrounded by quaint buildings, making it a lovely little adventure on the way to one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks.
