The Murgsee Area was a huge surprise for me. When you start the hike, it soon feels like you are in Iceland somehow, since there are sooo many waterfalls along the way. This hike is the perfect combo of Mountains, lush scenery, waterfalls and lakes. How to get there: Take the exit on the Highway called Murg. From there is only one road to go direction Murgtal/Murgseen. At one point you reach a point, where you have to pay for the parking. This is not the parking spot. Just pay your ticket here and keep going. The ticket is for the whole area. You will pas many parking spots but keep ignoring them all. The last parking possibility with the following coordinates is your place to go: 47.052998, 9.197414 From here you can finally start your hike. Its pretty steep at beginning and it keeps going like that for a while. On the way up you pass many waterfalls, small huts, and it leads you along the river. At one point you pass the first lake, the lower Murgsee. Unfortunately its not accessible but it looks stunning. Only a couple of meters after you reach the other two lakes and there you also find a mountain hut for food. The whole area is breathtaking. Price: The hike and place is free but you have to get a ticket for parking before entering the Murgtal. Its 10chf for 24 hours.
