Looking for a great daytrip from Zurich? Then Rapperswil is a place you should consider. Its a very cute little town with a castle located at the lake of Zurich. there are three different ways of reaching it:

1. By Boat. In my opinion the most wonderful way to get tehre since like that zou can also take a wonderful ride on the lake and have beautiful views along the way. The boats depart from Bürkliplatz in Zürich. There you have different options: A small cruise, a medium cruise or a long cruise. The main differences between these cruises is the length and amount of stops. The cheapest is the small one which costs only 6.80chf while the medium one costs 8.80chf and the long one costs 26chf (2nd class) or 42chf (1st class).

2. By train. The train goes from the Zurich main Stationand takes around 40min. Its a direct train. Tickets are around 10chf.

3. By car. it takes around 40min, depending on the traffic. I would not suggest this transportation, since the traffic can be really difficult there and parking is very expensive.
