Set on the beautiful curves of the Bosphorus in Besiktas, Istanbul's European side, Arnavutköy is an idyllic and picturesque neighbourhood. With its Ottoman-era timber mansions that have been delicately adorned with Art Nouveau decorations, this area of Istanbul is a sight like no other. It's here you can find cobble-stoned streets, wood yalis which line the waterfront and multilcultural influences from both Greece, Turkish, Jewish and Armenian heritages. Perfect for an afternoon stroll, visitors can explore every house within a couple of hours or taste some of the best seafood Istanbul has to offer at one of the many restaurants along the promenade. Simply put, Arnavuktöy is a destination worth visiting!
