Bari airport, named after Karol Wojtyla, is located about 11 km from the city center and is the main Apulian airport.

Bari airport is well connected to the city center by bus, train and taxi.

BUS

Line 16 of the AMTAB company connects the airport to Bari central station (Piazza Aldo Moro) in about 40 minutes. The connection is not direct, it makes numerous stops before arriving in the centre. Current timetable airport - bari center: • Weekdays: service active from 05:40 to 22:20, with frequency every 60 minutes • Holidays: service active from 06:00 to 21:00, with frequency every 60 minutes

TICKETS: • Ticket valid for one journey: €1.00 • Ticket purchased on board and valid for 75 minutes: €1.50 • 90-minute ticket: €1.20 • Day Ticket: €2.50 • Carnet of 10 tickets: €9.00

TRAIN

The railway station connects the airport with Bari central station in about 20 minutes, with some intermediate stops. The cost of the ticket is €5 and can be purchased online or at the machines in the station. Timetable from Bari airport: • from Monday to Saturday: service active from 05:05 to 23:30 • Sundays and holidays: service active from 05:54 to 23:24

TAXI

The Bari taxi service has fixed rates including all supplements. The route: Airport – Murat – S. Nicola – Libertà – Central Station has a fixed cost of €23. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Other connections range from €15 for the airport - industrial area route, to €35 to get to Torre a Mare, the district furthest from the airport.
