Cetara is a quaint, traditional fishing village located on the Amalfi Coast in western Italy. It is renowned for its delectable seafood and its colatura di alici sauce, a favorite of Roman times. This charming seaside village is full of historic architecture, including the 14th century Torre di Cetara, the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, and the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi – perfect for sightseeing. There’s also plenty of activities to keep visitors busy, from exploring the beaches and local seafood restaurants to hiking in Cetara’s beautiful surrounds or taking a ferry to nearby towns like Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Praiano, Positano, and Sorrento. No matter what type of traveler you are, Cetara will have something to offer!

Cetara is the village of tuna and anchovies, from which the famous colatura derives. You can't leave without first shopping for local specialties!
