The Kea Point Track in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park is a short yet rewarding hike that offers some of the most accessible alpine views in New Zealand. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a scenic stroll, this track provides an unforgettable experience.

🥾 Trail Overview

  • Distance: Approximately 3 km return (1.5 km each way)

  • Duration: 1 to 2 hours

  • Difficulty: Easy to intermediate

  • Elevation Gain: 180 m

The track begins at the White Horse Hill Campground and meanders through subalpine grasslands and scrub. As you ascend gently, the path offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The trail culminates at a viewing platform with breathtaking vistas of Mount Sefton, The Footstool, Hooker Valley, and the turquoise waters of Mueller Glacier Lake.
