In central Christchurch, the Art Gallery is the city's premier contemporary gallery and one of Aotearoa’s most significant public art spaces.

You'll find nine spacious galleries showcasing a vibrant mix of New Zealand and international artworks, from classical Māori expressions to bold contemporary installations. 

There is also an on site cafe called The Thirsty Peacock and a gift shop.
