The Mount Crichton Loop Track is a hidden gem tucked just outside Queenstown. This 3.5 km trail winds through native bush, farmland, and historic gold mining sites.
The loop is relatively easy and suitable for most fitness levels, taking about 1–1.5 hours at a relaxed pace. Along the way, you’ll spot old stone buildings, rusted mining relics, and suspension bridges that hint at the area’s gold mining past ⛏️
The trail is shaded for most of its length, making it a great choice for a sunny day while still offering occasional mountain views and quiet creek crossings
