Stunning reflective lakes in Fiordland

Mirror Lakes is a quick but beautiful stop along the road to Milford Sound. On a still day, the little lakes perfectly reflect the Earl Mountains - it’s one of those classic Fiordland photo spots. The boardwalk is short and easy, making it accessible for everyone, and the reflections are best in the early morning when the water is calm.

Quick Tips:

  • The boardwalk loop is super short - just a few minutes’ walk 🚶‍♂️

  • Best reflections are early in the day before the wind picks up 🌄
