The walk begins at the end of Punchbowl Road, just a short distance from the Arthur’s Pass Village. Cross the Bealey River via a footbridge, then follow the path through lush beech forest, often accompanied by native birds like fantails and tomtits. The final stretch involves a series of steps leading to a viewing platform at the base of the waterfall .

🛑 Important Notes
Weather Conditions: In heavy rain, the first creek after leaving the car park, can flood and is unbridged. Only cross this creek if it is safe to do so .
Facilities: There are toilets available at the car park, but none along the track.
Safety: Wear sturdy footwear, especially if the track is wet, as it can become slippery.
