Kaeru Jinja is a shrine dedicated to frogs - froggy shrine! You might already know I have a soft spot for animal themed shrines 🐸 Kaeru means frog and "gero" is the sound of frog croaking so it made sense that the frog became the unofficial town mascot. You can find them all throughout Gero: on manholes, in souvenir shops and even hopping across the street!
