Sakura Jingu is one of the places to appreciate kawazu sakura—a type of cherry blossom that blooms in February. 🌸 While Tokyo has popular cherry blossom spots in March and April, there are only a few spots where early-blooming sakura trees can be found. The cozy shrine has two of these trees, one of which is designated as an enmusubi tree.

Visitors tie pink ribbons called hanaobi to pray for love and relationships to the enmusubi tree making for such a pretty sight! You can take very unique cherry blossom pictures here. Make also sure to collect their special goshuin (shrine stamp) as well as their ema (wooden plaque) with cherry blossoms on them 🌸
