One of the most popular hikes for a reason. Rigi, also called queen of the mountains, offers one of the best views in Switzerland. Even for non experienced hikers its a perfect trip for a day. There are many hikes to do at Mt Rigi but this is a classic. How to get there: You start your journey in Arth-Goldau, from where you take the train up to Rigi First. Here you start your hike direction Rigi Scheidegg. You are walking alongside of a former railway line, pass a railway bridge and a tunnel. The hike takes around 2 hours and is 7km long, mostly flat. In Rigi Scheidegg you can take the cable car down to Kräbel and change there into the train back to Goldau.
