Karpathos is known for the strong Meltemi winds that can occur in the summer, especially in July and August. It's therefore no surprise that Karpathos is one of the best hotspots to go windsurfing.

Located in the South of Karpathos you'll find 3 beaches called Devil's Bay, Gun Bay and Chicken Bay and this is where the magic happens! Devil's Bay and Gun Bay are more for the pros since it's on open water you need to know how to windsurf especially the waterstart. If you're a bigger go to Chicken Bay. This is a more shallow, secluded bay, which is perfect for your first time or if you're still practising!

We prefer windsurfing with ION Club. They are located on Gun- and Chicken Bay. If you're a pro and want to windsurf on Devil's Bay then you could go to Meltemi which is a company located on that Bay.
