This 3-day itinerary is designed to help you experience Cádiz at a slower, more meaningful pace. You’ll explore the city’s historic center, oceanfront walks, local markets, and some of its best restaurants, with time to enjoy the relaxed rhythm that makes Cádiz so special. The guide also includes practical tips for attending the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix. With hotel recommendations near the area, transportation advice, and an interactive map, everything is organized to help you plan with confidence and make the most of your time in southern Spain.
If you are not attending the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix and just visiting Cadiz, I have included many (optional) places for you to visit instead of attending the event.
If you are attending the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix, I would personally swap day 2 with day 3 in my itinerary because after the Moto GP you will want to sleep and unwind on day 3 before heading to other places (see my Andalucía road trip guide for more ideas).
So it really depends on what you would like to do and why you are visiting Cadiz for.. if it's for the history, beaches, museums, and everything in between, you will be able to follow this Itinerary and follow the spots I left for you as optional (or completely enjoy the beaches - my favorite was Santa Maria beach) . That's what I did (besides watching motos on the street because I happened to visit on THAT weekend) and had an unforgettable time.
