The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is a major cultural attraction located in Xi'an, Shaanxi province. Construction on this site began in 246 B.C.E and lasted 38 years under the supervision of Prime Minister Li Si. The site has two walls, an inner wall and an outer wall surrounding the tomb mound at the center. It is home to the world-renowned Terracotta Army, a series of more than 7,000 life-size terracotta sculptures depicting soldiers from the Qin Dynasty. Additionally, the Peterson field, located north of the outer wall, contains unique bronze cranes, swans andmany other features. Visitors can explore the mysterious wonders of the emperor’s tomb, discover how the statues were constructed, and take delight in the fascinating artifacts scattered across the various sites.
