Café Regatta is hands down one of the coziest and quirkiest cafés in Helsinki. This tiny red wooden cottage by the sea looks like it’s straight out of a storybook, and it’s been a local favorite for years. Whether it’s sunny or snowy, I love coming here for a cinnamon bun (korvapuusti) and a cup of coffee by the water.

What makes Regatta extra special is its atmosphere – old skis, fishing gear, and vintage signs decorate the outside, and there’s also a fireplace outside where you can grill sausages or marshmallows (they sell them at the counter!). In summer, the terrace is buzzing, and in winter, it turns into a cozy, snowy wonderland.

Pro tip: Don’t forget to try their legendary cinnamon buns and enjoy the sea view. It’s also a great pit stop if you’re exploring the nearby Sibelius Monument or taking a walk along the Töölö waterfront.
