Sulaoja is the largest spring in Finland in terms of the amount of water discharged. It is an old sacred place for the Sámi, and the spring water has been believed to have healing effects. The Sulaoja nature trail is a loop that starts along the road to Karigasniemi (no. 92) and travels in the terrain, toward the end of which you can admire a mysterious spring. There are wooden structures along the route to make it easier to navigate. There is no winter maintenance on the route or in the car park

Enjoy this 1.9-km loop trail near Karigasniemi, Lapland. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 30-60 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
