Run a fun and scenic section of the Wheaton River. It's not overly challenging but has some full little features and rapids. To get there you do need to go down an off-road and sometimes the road can wash out. Put in is the coordinates of this map and then the take out is at the green bridge.
This is a class II river with some tight corners where there are sweepers so you need to have some river experience before you go. It it's about 10km of paddling that takes about an hour. It's suitable for packrafts, whitewater kayaks and canoes (but you will a skirt if you're canoeing it).
To shuttle back to our car we usually use bikes that we stash at the green bridge which adds on about 10km of biking.
Paddle at your own risk.
PS we almost always see a bear in this area so please be safe!
