The Takhini Elk herd is often visible from the Alaska Highway between Whitehorse and Haines Junction. Keep your eyes on the look out when your in the Takhini River and Kusawa Lake Road area. About 45 minutes from Whitehorse if you're headed in directions of Haines Junction. You might see just a few Elk or if you're lucky the whole herd. Drive safe!

📍 **Tip: ** I've had the best luck spotting the herd in the early morning or evenings.
