Sightsee around the small ecletic town of Carcross

Carcross is probably my favourite town in the Yukon. It's very small, really just a couple of blocks and yet it has so much character and has become famously known for its mountain biking (on Montana Mountain). Carcross is a First Nations community that beautifully shares their culture and heritage throughout the town. You'll see Totem Poles, murals on buildings with Tlingit and Tagish designs. Along with buildings dating back to the Klondike Gold Rush era in the 1890's. You get mountain views from anywhere you stand and theirs surrounding lakes on either sides.

I recommend just going on a self guided tour by walking around and reading the interpretive signs.

šŸ“** In the summer:** There are artesian shops, cafe and bistro open. You can go to Bennett Beach for a dip in the cold lake. There are nearby by mountain biking and hiking trails.

šŸ“ In the Winter: Almost all the shops and services close however it really doesn't lose it's charm and is still worth checking out. It's normally very quiet which can make it more enjoyable in my opinion.
