Lake Hāwea is a stunning area to visit, just a 10 minute drive out from Wanaka - its like the quieter version of Wanaka. I go out here all the time when Wanaka gets super busy. There are lots of beautiful spots to see (I've got these saved as separate pins). The lake is absolutely stunning - it is so turquoise and is often deeper than Lake Wanaka, so I find it better for swims. There is a pub out and a cafe out here too which are nice! Definitely worth coming out to visit :)
