The Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) is a complex of two residential skyscrapers designed by Italy's Boeri Studio that have become an international sensation. Located in the Porta Nuova district of Milan, the buildings are home to over 20,000 plants and trees, which produce approximately 44,000 pounds ofcarbon each year and provide numerous environmental benefits. The skyscrapers have won numerous awards and have even been acknowledged as the “most beautiful and innovative skyscraper in the world” by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

Certainly an unusual building to see, it's one of the most interesting in Milan in my opinion. I love seeing how the plants influence the perception of the building, in summer the whole building is green, in winter all the branches are bare.
