Hahei Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Coromandel Peninsula and is known for its white sand, crystal-clear water, and tiny coastal village.
It's right next to the famous Cathedral Cove, which you can reach via the 1.5-hour (return) Mautohe Cathedral Cove Track at the top of Grange Road.
If you don't want to walk, you can take a water taxi from the main carpark area on Hahei Beach. The taxi costs $80 return for adults and $60 for children (ages 3-17).
Personal tip: Don't leave without visiting the Hahei General Store for my favourite real fruit ice cream in New Zealand :)
