Le Three Pagodas (大理三塔 – Dàlǐ Sāntǎ) sono il monumento più iconico di Dali e un sito turistico classificato AAAAA (5A). Situate ai piedi delle montagne Cangshan e affacciate sul lago Erhai, rappresentano oltre mille anni di storia buddista nello Yunnan.

La più antica è la Pagoda di Qianxun, alta 69,6 metri e costruita nel IX secolo durante il regno di Nanzhao. Ai suoi lati si ergono due pagode gemelle più piccole (42 metri) edificate nel X secolo. L’insieme crea una delle immagini più riconoscibili e fotografate della Cina sud-occidentale.

Il complesso include anche il Tempio di Chongsheng, un tempo il più grande del sud-ovest cinese, oggi ricostruito e visitabile.

✨ Consiglio: visita al tramonto, quando le pagode si riflettono nello stagno antistante creando una scenografia spettacolare.

The Three Pagodas (大理三塔 – Dàlǐ Sāntǎ) are the most iconic landmark of Dali, rated AAAAA (5A) in China’s official tourist system. Nestled between the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, they embody over a millennium of Buddhist history in Yunnan.

The tallest, the Qianxun Pagoda, stands 69.6 meters high and was built in the 9th century under the Nanzhao Kingdom. Flanking it are two smaller twin pagodas (42 meters), dating back to the 10th century. Together, they form one of the most photographed sites in southwest China.

The complex also includes the Chongsheng Temple, once the largest Buddhist temple in the region, now reconstructed and open to visitors.

✨ Tip: come at sunset to see the pagodas beautifully reflected in the pond in front of them.
