Johnston Canyon is one of the most accessible and rewarding hikes in Banff National Park, perfect for all levels and open year-round. This trail winds through a narrow limestone canyon with catwalks, wooden bridges, and viewpoints that lead you to two stunning waterfalls. It’s especially magical in winter when the falls freeze into towering ice sculptures. The trail can get busy, so aim to go early morning or later in the evening for fewer crowds.
