Description:
Diamond Beach, located across from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, is one of Iceland’s most unique natural sights. Chunks of ice from Vatnajökull Glacier drift into the lagoon, float out to sea, and wash back up on the shore, where they sparkle like diamonds against the black volcanic sand. The size and shape of the icebergs change daily, so no two visits are the same. Photographers love this spot at sunrise and sunset, when the light glows through the ice.

Price:
Visiting Diamond Beach is free, with free parking nearby. Guided South Coast tours that include Diamond Beach usually cost $120–180 USD per person.
