Description:
The Secret Lagoon, located in the village of Flúðir on the Golden Circle, is Iceland’s oldest man-made swimming pool, built in 1891. Fed by nearby hot springs, the pool maintains a steady temperature of around 38–40°C (100–104°F), making it perfect for relaxing year-round. Unlike the more modern Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon, the Secret Lagoon has a simple, natural charm, with steam rising from surrounding hot springs and a small geyser that erupts every few minutes. It’s a quieter, more traditional geothermal bathing experience that many travelers find more authentic.

Price:
Entrance to the Secret Lagoon costs about 3,000 ISK ($22 USD) per adult. Towel and swimsuit rentals are available for an extra fee. Guided Golden Circle tours that include a stop at the lagoon usually cost $100–140 USD per person.
