Description:
Húsavík is a small coastal town in North Iceland, famous as the whale-watching capital of the country. The bay’s rich waters attract many species, including humpback whales, minke whales, and sometimes even blue whales. Tours usually include a boat ride with the chance to see whales, dolphins, and seabirds like puffins in summer. The town itself is picturesque, with colorful houses, a harbor, and the charming wooden Húsavík Church. You can also visit the Húsavík Whale Museum to learn more about the marine life of Iceland. The town gained global attention after the Netflix film Eurovision Song Contest featured the song “Húsavík.”
