Best For: Walking, swimming, cafés

This is one of the nicest easy walks in Funchal. The path runs along the ocean with plenty of spots to stop for a coffee or just sit and watch the waves. The path if you want takes you all the way to Praia Formoso if you really want making a nice coastal cliffside walk when followed.

Along the way you’ll find several paid lido complexes where you can spend the whole day. Think pools, direct ocean access, sunbeds, and a cold beer or poncha in hand.
