This is a great hike for any time of the year, and I have done it many times on a snowy winter day when I want to get outside. If you are doing this hike in the spring, be prepared to get wet feet, as the melting snow runs off right down the trail!
This is a super relaxed hike, and I would classify it as easy :) You can park your car at the lake and walk to the trailhead, or drive down past the lake! (There is usually plenty of room to park multiple vehicles at the trailhead).
If you're feeling energetic, you can also make this hike more advanced by hiking to the top and then going around the ridge of the mountains! I have never done this, so I am not sure how long it takes, but it is on my bucket list! :)
Take your time while driving up the Fish Lake road and stop at some of the pull-offs to take in the views!! This is also a great place in the winter to get away from the city lights and see the northern lights!
