Look I’ll be honest, after checking out all the crazy geothermal activity around Rotorua, I was a little underwhelmed by Craters of the Moon. However, considering the entry is only $10 per adult (I got my ticket for just $5 on the Bookme app), it's still worth it for a little walk around the grounds. Will you be blown away? Probably not, but is it still a cool stop? Yeah for sure. 

The landscape is unique and filled with steam vents, bubbling mud pools, and craters formed by volcanic activity. From the carpark, it’s about a 40-minute walk on an easy, well-marked trail that takes you through the geothermal fields. Along the way, you’ll see steam rising from the ground, hear the hiss of the vents, and learn some cool info about the area from the signs. It’s a relaxed, scenic experience, and while it might not leave you speechless, it's a chill spot to check out.
