Naracoorte Caves National Park is one of those spots that really surprised me in the best way possible. I love exploring caves and this one was incredible. The park is home to some seriously impressive limestone caves, which are not only fascinating but also packed with a rich history and incredible fossils. There are a bunch of caves you can explore here, one is a self-guided tour however the rest are explored for a fee. I chose to do the Alexandra Cave and Stick-Tomato Cave which was $26.50.
With a guide, you are taken through an underground wonderland. The Visitor Centre is super helpful and gives you all the info you need to make the most of your visit. Plus, the surrounding landscape is gorgeous, with walking trails and picnic spots where you can chill out and soak in the scenery. If you’re up for a bit of underground exploration and a taste of Australia’s natural history, these caves is definitely worth a visit.
