Vogur Country Lodge is a cozy retreat nestled in the picturesque Icelandic countryside. I have been here many times and I am fond of it, though it is a bit off the beaten track and the road to it is not paved, its location it’s worth the effort: right on the sea, at the foot of a mountain with a waterfall behind, sourrounded by woods and thickets, with a spectacular view on the bay. Rooms are outside, each with their separate entrance, and there is a sauna downstairs (ask the reception whether it is available!). Breakfast is quite good, given how remote the area is!
