Villa La Rotonda, also known as Villa Almerico Capra, is the most stunning Palladian Villa. It's located near Vicenza in the region of Veneto. It was built in the late 16th century.

The villa is set on a hill outside Vicenza and it uniquely blends a rural villa with the form of a classical temple, featuring four identical porticos and a central domed hall.

Owned by the Valmarana family, the villa is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is open to the public on weekends. Its elegant design and harmonious integration with nature make it a must-see architectural gem in Northern Italy.

This villa was the inspiration for the White House in Washington.

The opening time is on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The ticket is €12 for just the villa and €15 for the villa and the garden. You can purchase the ticket on the spot or also book them in advance online.

To me this is one of the most beautiful villas in Italy, and it has been on my bucket list since I studied about it in high school (so for a good 10 years now). The interior of the villa is very small, but the central hall, the one with the dome, it's breathtaking.
