Duncansby Stacks on the NC500 and very close to John O Groats is some of the most epic coastline in Scotland. The Stacks are easy to reach over the headland from the car park at the lighthouse. They were formed by around 6000 years of wave erosion, making them an interesting geological landmark to explore. Puffins and seals are sometimes spotted near the stacks.
