Lake Yamanaka is a stunning tourist attraction located near Mount Fuji in the village of Yamanakako, in Yamanashi Prefecture. It's the highest lake in Japan at 3,217 feet, and measures 2.49 square miles with a maximum 13.5-meter-deep body of water. In 2013, Lake Yamanaka was declared a World Heritage site for its exquisite beauty and special status as one of the 5 Fuji Lakes.
