Designed by Ghibli creator Hayao Miyazaki, the fanciful giant clock at the Nippon Television headquarters puts on a “show”. There will be a “surprise” approximately 3 minutes before each show.

On weekdays, there are shows at 12 noon, 1 p.m., 3 p.m, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. On weekends, there are shows at 10 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. Note that the clock starts doing its thing 3 minutes before the hour, so get there early.
