Noshiro Tenku no Fuyajo Council, popularly known as the Tanabata Festival - “Lantern Castles in the Sky”, is a vibrant cultural event held every September in Noshiro, Japan. From 8:30 to 17:30, people flock to the event to witness thousands of beautiful decorated lanterns lighting up the sky.
