Shiba Park in Tokyo is an oasis of fresh air and relaxation in the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Located near Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple, it attracts locals and visitors alike for its many outdoor activities, beautiful gardens, rich history, and peaceful setting. The park is thought to be Japan's oldest public park, being designated as such in 1873. It boasts a sprawling 110-meter burial mound from the Edo period and Momiji-dani ('autumn leaf valley'), featuring a massive Japanese zelkova tree. There are lawns to play on, paths to run around, exercise machines to use, shrines to explore, and memorials to visit. With its 24/7 open access and free admission, Shiba Park offers something for everyone!
