Inakadate Village, located in the middle of Aomori Prefecture, is world-known for its incredible rice paddy art. Each year, the fields are filled with a new design made from different colored varieties of rice. Themes in the past have included Star Wars, Roman Holiday and famous Japanese tales. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful designed fields from two observation decks: one on the fourth floor of the Inakadate Village Government Office, and another at Yayoi no Sato Observatory. From mid-June to early October, a free shuttle bus nicknamed "Tasaabei" connects the two venues runs every 30 minutes. This unique experience will truly enthrall any visitor!
