The Lower Loop Trail is a short but rewarding hiking trail located in Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. The hike is filled with 100's of giant trees and beautiful foliage. It's an easy loop hike that can be completed by almost anyone in the family, pets included!

This is a very special place in North Carolina so please make sure to follow Leave No Trace principles. The trees are some of the oldest in the state and we want to continue to have access to these beauties for years to come. Pick up your trash, stay on trail, and leave it better than you found it.
