That Wānaka tree is a famous lone willow tree located in Lake Wānaka. You've probably heard of it, so I feel like its the unwritten rule that you have to pay it a visit whilst you're in Wanaka. I can't lie, it's pretty underwhelming and you'll spot lots of other trees in the lake too. I remember when I first moved here, I thought it was going to be a HUGE tree in the middle of the lake...not quite. You'll see 😅 still, when its in full bloom during summer, it is pretty, especially at sunrise with the pink glow on the mountains in the back!
