Tahoe Via Ferrata
For adventure seekers, this guided climbing and hiking experience takes you along the cliffs of Palisades Tahoe, offering incredible views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Clearly Tahoe
If you’re looking for an epic activity in Lake Tahoe, consider a clear kayak tour with Clearly Tahoe. Kayaking on the lake is fun on its own, but doing it in a transparent kayak along Tahoe’s turquoise shoreline takes it up a notch.

Tributary Tours
If you want a fun outdoor activity in the Tahoe–Truckee area, whitewater rafting is a great option. I’ve gone out with Tributary a couple of times and recommend them. They run Truckee River trips ranging from relaxed floats to class II–III rapids, depending on water levels, so it’s exciting without being too intense.

Hang Gliding Tahoe
One of the most adventurous experiences near Lake Tahoe is powered hang gliding. I did this on my first visit in 2015, and it was unforgettable. It’s a splurge, but worth it for the adrenaline and the views.

North Tahoe Watersports
If you want to parasail in North Lake Tahoe, North Tahoe Watersports is a great option. Tours launch from Kings Beach, and you fly tandem, making it perfect for couples or friends, with sweeping views of the bright blue lake and shoreline.
