Here’s your guide to visiting Dawson Falls:

🥾 Trail: A short, easy 5-minute walk leads you to this stunning waterfall, surrounded by lush, native bush within Taranaki National Park.

🅿️ Access/Parking: There is room for 2-3 cars at the trail entrance, otherwise parking is available at the Dawson Falls Visitor Centre on Manaia Road and you’ll have to walk an extra 15 minutes.

📏 Difficulty: Easy - Suitable for all fitness levels, with a well-maintained path. There is a bit of a descent to the falls though.

🤫 Secret: The falls are especially beautiful after rainfall, when the water flow is at its fullest. Just be careful not to get too close!

👧👦 Family-friendly: Yes - Great for kids, with a short walk, lots of greenery, and an impressive waterfall.

🦮 Dog-Friendly: No - Pets are not allowed in National Parks.

🕶️ Shade: Yes, the track and viewing area are shaded by dense native bush.

🚽 Facilities: Restrooms available at the Visitor Centre.

🗑️ Leave no trace: Help keep this beautiful spot pristine by taking all rubbish with you and respecting the natural environment.
