You’ll get a high-speed jet boat that rockets up the Waikato River to put you close to the thunder of Huka Falls, so expect loud engines, plenty of spray and an adrenaline-packed 20 to 30 minute ride. Wear quick-dry clothes or a waterproof jacket and stash phones and cameras in a waterproof bag or leave them on shore, because you will get wet; operators supply life jackets and a safety briefing.
