The Tongariro River Trail is a 15-kilometer loop track suitable for walking, running, and mountain biking, located in the town of Turangi, at the southern end of Lake Taupō.

It follows both banks of the famous Tongariro River, New Zealand's most well-known trout fishing river. The full loop is approximately 15 km and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to cycle or 3 to 4 hours to walk. The trail is easy, featuring wide paths and minimal elevation gain, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
